![]() One can argue that the effort you put in to get a kill streak should outweigh the effort into killing it. Pretty sure it's always been the case that launchers are just terrible in general. Giving your teammates even more time to take it out with small arms fire, rather than using the weapons designed for the task.Īll in all what I am trying to say is, why are the launchers so weak? Do you think they need a buff vs aerial streaks? Maybe 4 shots for the free fire launchers and 3 (1 chaff + 2 to take down) for the lock on launchers? Should there perhaps be an attachment category for them, changing their damage characteristics, reducing their effectiveness against infantry but buffing them against vehicles? Please let me know what you think, I am genuinely interested to hear what players have to say on this topic Most aerial streaks have chaff, which negates much of the work you are trying to put in. The lock on launchers aren't much better for this. ![]() Good luck taking a streak out in a short space of time when you take 10 years to reload the damn thing without the use of fast hands. You will almost never take out an AC130 before it turns you into paste and you might think 'Why not run Cold Blooded to avoid dying to the streaks you are trying to deal with?' - Well, my child, allow me to elaborate. ![]() Hiting the streaks which are faster or further away yields no fruit, since the launchers will frequently miss (this is partly a skill issue I will admit). ![]() Why are launchers so terrible at taking down streaks? Firstly the damage of the free fire launchers is pathetic agains VTOLs, C-Gunner, and Overwatch Helo ( ≈6 rockets per takedown and that's if a teammate doesn't pull out a primary weapon and take it out with small arms fire before you can respawn, equip and fire the launcher, reload then fire again). Then we come to the meat and potatoes of my proposed discussion here. Launchers are good at exactly none of these things? For the clearing of equipment and players in a game mode such as hardpoint for example, good luck sneaking a rocket past doors, walls, random debris, friendly players and trophy systems. That purpose being, to take out enemy streaks, clear equipment and clear objectives of pesky enemy players. ![]() First time poster here for this subreddit and I just wanted to have a bit of a discussion about how terrible the launchers are for their intended purpose. ![]()
